Tasks You Can Do on the DVR Remotely

· Stop, play, and pause a playback of a video file in the DVR

· Record a live feed

· Do a time search

· Set the quality and rate of the recording

· Enable and set the quality and rate of the alarm recording setting

· Enable and set the schedule of the timer record

Tasks You Can’t Do on the DVR Remotely (Must Use the Buttons on the DVR itself and Must Hook the Video Output of the DVR into the Video Input of a Monitor)

· Search for alarm-caused recordings

· Thumbnail searches

· See what files are stored in the SD card

· Change any settings dealing with audio

· Change any settings dealing with the hard drives

· Specify alarm type, how long to record after an alarm, enable pre alarm, or any settings dealing with motion detection

· Set the clock, the sequencer, or the title of the channels

· Change any settings dealing with the network settings of the DVR

· Change any settings dealing with the DVR’s system
